How to Create a Facebook Group
Really nice pictures you took at the party last night, congratulations! You know what? They are so beautiful that you should share them on Facebook right away. You can’t? Why? Don’t want to invite your family and friends you forgot to see them? Don’t make yourself unnecessary trouble, just use Facebook groups to remedy the situation.
You may not know it but create a group on Facebook you can share photos, videos, etc. only with who you want. Groups allow you to communicate with a small circle of people without others seeing what you share with them. What are you waiting for to make one? It’s as easy as drink a glass of water!
Even if you don’t consider yourself an expert in social networks, rest assured that in the following paragraphs you will find all the information you need to create a Facebook group, whether you are planning to start from your PC or from your mobile device.

Create a Facebook group
Want to create a group on Facebook But since you are not very familiar with the social network founded by Mark Zuckerberg, you have no idea how to proceed? Without fear! Just follow the steps below to get the signature.
personal computer
To create a Facebook group from a personal computer, connected from the browser to this page of the social network (after logging in to your account, of course) and click on the green Create a group button that is at the top right.
In the box that opens, type the name you want to assign to the group in the text field below the entry Name the group, select the users you want to include in the latter by entering their name or email address in the text field below typing the header Add some people, then select one of the available privacy settings to decide who can see the published content: Public group, so that all Facebook users can see the group and the content published in it; Closed Group, so anyone can find the group and see its members, but without the posts or Secret Group, so only group members can find you and view your posts.
After choosing the name of the group members who are part of it and the privacy settings, click the blue button to create, select an icon that the latter identifies (eg basketball icon with the new group is dedicated to the world of basketball, or the camera icon if your group is talking about photography) and click the blue Okay button. If you want, you can also skip this step by clicking the Skip item.
At the end of the procedure, you will be redirected to your group’s main page, which you can customize by inserting a cover image. To do this, click the green Upload Photos button and upload an image stored on your PC, or click the Choose Photos button to use an image you’ve already uploaded to your Facebook profile.
Click on the item to communicate with friends who are part of the publications group for writing a new message, click on the item Add photos/videos to insert multimedia or voice content Live video to broadcast a live broadcast with other start group members.
After creating the group, click on the options directly below the group name (top left): information, to add a description to the group; Discussion, to share content with other members; Members, to see the members who are part of the group and change their roles; Events, to create an event in the group or Manage the group, to create scheduled posts, accept subscription requests, view admin activity and more.
To change other settings related to the new Facebook group that you created, click the button differently (after clicking the option Thread ), and click the menu that appears on one of the options you will see: Add members, to add new members to the group or Change the group settings To change the name, select the type of group (i.e. the category related to the topic covered in it), link a page to it on, select who can publish a publication, etc.
Note: If you decide to delete the Facebook group you created, you must first delete all participants and then leave and delete the group. If you want more information on how to delete a group on Facebook, read the tutorial I’ve dedicated to the topic.
Android
To create a Facebook group from your Android device, first launch the official application of the social network on your mobile phone or tablet and log in to your account (if necessary). Then touch the symbol located at the top right of the Create a group button (located under the heading Groups ), type the group name in the text field Name this group … and press camera if desired to create a take or add a photo.
Then add the members you want to include in the group by selecting them from the menu at the bottom of the screen and pressing the come button. Now select the privacy settings by checking one of the options available: Public, to create a public group and then allow everyone to see your posts and the members who are part of it; Closed, to hide posts published in the group from those who are not members or private, to make the group “invisible” to those who are not part of it. Press the item after specifying your preferred privacy options to create. And voila! You just created your Facebook group!
Even on Android, you can add new members, edit group information, create events, post photos, files, etc., using the appropriate commands found directly under the name that identifies the group.
Note: If for some reason you decide to delete a Facebook group you created earlier, you will have to delete the participants first and then leave the group yourself, as I have already explained in the guide where I explain in detail see how to delete a group on Facebook .
iOS
To create a Facebook group from your device iOS, launch the Facebook application, log in to your account (if necessary), press the symbol at the bottom right and then tap the Groups item. Touch the symbol in the screen that opens (+) In the upper right corner, type the name of the group in the text field Name this group … and press camera if desired to take or add a photo for use as group wrap.
Now choose the members you want to add to the group by selecting them from the menu at the bottom and pressing the button come. Then select the privacy settings by checking one of the available options: Public, to create a public group; Closed, to hide the publications published in the group from those who are not part of it or private so that those who are not members of the group cannot find it or see its publications. Finally, press the Create Voice button to complete the group creation procedure.
Now you can finally customize your new group, add new members, change your information, post photos, etc. using the buttons directly below the name and photo of the group itself.
Note: If you want to delete the Facebook group you created earlier, you have to delete all members first and then you have to leave the group yourself, as I already explained in the post where I explain in detail how to delete a group on Facebook deletes.
Create a group chat on Facebook
If you just want to chat with other Facebook users, you probably don’t need to create actual Facebook groups, but group chat using Messenger’s special feature may be enough.
- To create a group chat on a personal computer, log in to your Facebook account from your browser, click on the messenger icon (the symbol of lightning bolt sandwich at the top), click on the item New group, write the name of the group chat in the text field Give the group a name, select the users you want to add to the conversation and click the blue button create.
- To create a group chat on mobile phones and tablets, instead of launch the Messenger app on your device and press the Groups voice button, tap the New Group (on Android) or Create (on iOS) item and finally click on the arrow icon (on Android) or speech Create a group (on iOS) to complete the operation.
