This is how you create your own spa at home

Spa at Home

There is nothing better than a day at the spa to pamper yourself. If only you could go every week, * sigh *. But unfortunately. Your busy schedule does not always allow it and a spa visit costs a lot of money every time. But there is a solution. You just create your own home spa.

In an earlier article on Bedrock, we explained why rest and relaxation are so important to us. Among other things, it has a positive effect on our health, thoughts, and functioning as a whole. Enough advantages. But how exactly do you do that, completely relaxed?

One of the ways to do this is by cleansing your body and mind through a hammam ritual. You take the time to wash away the daily stress and worries that burden your mind. That doesn’t have to be complicated. You can do it yourself, at home in the bathroom. Fine self-care rituals allow you to return completely to the here and now after a hectic day.

Creating your own spa

Now the big question is of course: how do you create such a spa in-house? Rituals have developed a special collection for this: The collection is inspired by one of the oldest cleansing traditions in the world. In the past, people went to a communal seaside resort for this, but with the five essential products from Rituals, you can easily bring this authentic ritual to your own bathroom. This way you can go Zen for the day or evening, as often as you wish.

Do you want to get started yourself? Then follow the hammam ritual in five steps:

Step 1: Black Soap

First, use a soothing black soap. With this, you massage a thin layer on damp skin. The soap has a pasty texture based on refreshing eucalyptus and nourishing pure olive oil. The soap cleans and purifies the skin and removes aging skin cells. The perfect basis for a scrub.

Step 2: Hot Scrub

Ready for step two? Apply the scrub with sea salt and massage your entire body with circular movements. You do this from your feet upwards, towards the heart. After this, you rinse everything off.

Step 3: Body Mud

Massage a thin layer of body mud with Rhassoul clay onto damp skin and leave it on for two minutes. Then rinse off in the shower or let it dissolve slowly by taking a bath.

Step 4: Foaming Shower Gel

After you have completely rinsed the clay from your body, grab the foaming shower gel. You will notice that the gel turns into a rich, creamy, and hydrating foam that is soft to the touch and smelling refreshing.

Step 5: Body Cream

Time for the final step! Dry yourself gently and moisturize your skin with the nourishing body cream. You massage it gently on the dry skin.

And now? time to relax of course. Namaste.
