iPhone 17 and iPhone Air: These are the new Apple products

iPhone 17 gets a slim sister model with the iPhone Air
In addition to the iPhone 17, the new iPhone series includes the already familiar additions of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. The biggest innovation, however, is the iPhone Air .
Apple describes it as the “thinnest iPhone ever with professional performance.” Apple uses titanium for the casing, making the iPhone Air “sleek, lightweight, yet durable.” The slim model features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display.
Running in the background is Apple’s A19 Pro chip. According to Apple, this makes the iPhone Air the “most energy-efficient iPhone ever,” with a battery life that’s supposed to last all day. The iPhone Air is available in Sky Blue, Light Gold, Cloud White, and Space Black.
For the iPhone 17, Apple has, among other things, redesigned the camera system. The new Center Stage front camera is designed to take selfies “to a new level.” The iPhone is also powered by the new A19 chip, which Apple promises “greater performance and durability.”
This chip is also installed in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models and is intended to improve gaming performance in addition to AI features. The Pro series also gets a redesigned design and new color variants: Silver, Cosmic Orange, and Deep Blue. A black or dark gray version is missing for whatever reason.
The three 48 MP Fusion cameras on the Pro models include a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a new telephoto lens. These will also enable high-quality video recording in ProRes RAW.
New generation of Apple Watch and AirPods
But it’s not just the iPhone that’s getting a new generation; Apple has also introduced the AirPods Pro 3. In addition to a redesigned design, Apple is announcing the “world’s best active in-ear noise cancellation.” A new feature is an integrated heart rate sensor that can be used via the iPhone Fitness app.
The Apple Watch is getting three new models: the Series 11 , Ultra 3 , and SE 3. They all feature the S10 chip, which enables the always-on display, double-tap, and wrist flick gestures.
The Series 11 impresses with enhanced health features, such as more precise heart rate monitoring and new sensors for blood pressure monitoring. The Ultra 3 is aimed at outdoor and sports enthusiasts and features a particularly robust casing, longer battery life, and specialized tracking features. With the SE 3, Apple is launching a more affordable version with an always-on display and improved fitness features.
At its keynote in Cupertino, Apple also announced the release date for macOS Tahoe 26, which will now be released on September 15. The new operating system for Macs brings, among other things, improvements to the user interface and new productivity features.
